Q: Do I need a special driver's license to operate an RV?
A: No special endorsements are required. Anyone 25 years or older with a valid driver's license can operate our rental units.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: Just fill in the form provided on the "Reservation Page" to have our rental agent contact you. Or you can call our office between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday at 303-360-0808 or 800-453-8200. A $300 deposit on your
Visa or MasterCard will confirm your reservation.
Q: Besides the basic rental cost, are there any other charges I will incur?
A: Insurance is required for all RV rentals. We encourage you to check with your personal insurance provider to see if they will write a binder for our rental unit. If so, they will usually charge only a nominal fee. If they are unable to provide a binder, we can add you to our policy for just $25 per night. Rental tax in the state of Colorado is 10.6% -- you need to factor this expense into your budget!
Q: Do you charge extra for additional drivers?
A: There is no additional charge, but we must have copies of each possible
driver's operator's license at the time you pick up your rental.
Q: What happens if I have a breakdown on the road?
A: Chambers Road RV provides complimentary roadside emergency service with
your rental. One call to a toll free number will get you help with any
mechanical breakdown, service to change a flat tire, a jump start or even
lock-out assistance, all at no charge to you.
Q: Is there anyplace I can't take the RV?
A: Rental units are not allowed in Death Valley or on logging or other
non-public roads. Travel to Mexico is also prohibited.
Q: Do you allow one way rental?
A: No. We are a small, family owned company. All rentals originate at our
Chambers Road office and must be returned to the same location.
Q: When can I pick up / drop off my rental unit?
A: We are open from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Pickups are
generally available from 9 AM to 4PM, drop-offs from 8 AM to 5PM. After
hours drop-offs are not a problem because we have a secure lot where the
rental can be left until the next business day. Weekend pickups can be arranged under special circumstances.
Q: Will my rental unit have a TV?
A: Yes! All units come with a television as well as DVD player.
Q: Does the rental unit come equipped with linens and kitchenware?
A: No, although kitchen and linen packs are available for an additional charge.
Q: What kind of gas mileage can I expect?
A: Under normal conditions, our fuel-efficient Class C motor homes should
average between 8 - 11 miles per gallon.
Q: How much will I use the generator?
A: If you stay at a campground with electrical hookups, you won't use it at
all! If hookups are not available. you will run the generator to use the
the television, microwave oven, and room air conditioner. Everything else
in the unit works off either battery power or propane gas. We allow 3 hours
of generator use for each rental day at no charge. Additional use is
billed at $4.00 per hour.
Q: Are pets allowed in the RV? Can I smoke in the rental unit?
A: No, for health reasons, we prohibit both pets and smoking in our rental units.
Q: Can I tow my boat or car behind the RV?
A: We do allow towing for an additional $100 charge and 10 cents per mile.
Q: Can I leave my car at your lot while I'm renting?
A: Yes! We're happy to providing parking in our secured lot at no charge
Q: Can you pick me up from the airport?
A: Yes, for a nominal fee.
